I started my career in the broadcasting industry over 20 years ago shooting and editing news for a Regional TV station before broadening into producing corporate & promotional video, television series & commercials.
This experience with the corporate sector has enabled me to hone my writing and field directing skills and allowed me to implement my ideas and creativity. It’s given me immeasurable exposure to work with other crews and on a variety of programmes for different platforms, including all major networks.
Being exposed to this diversity has taught me to now be able to see the finished product in my head before I even pick up the camera.
I believe to achieve the best for the project that it's not just about operating the camera and equipment well, but to have a great attitude, listen to the client and talent and be able to think quickly to make the right decisions required under pressure situations.
With over 7000 hours of filming experience, I have the expertise for any type of job; from corporate/promotions, news and current affairs, reality TV, sport….the list goes on; both studio & field, plus web based material and have a wide range of broadcast quality equipment and accessories for dry hire.
Also part of DCVW is my wife Sheree who is a successful TV Producer & business woman with over 15 years’ experience including producing three series of University Challenge for Prime, Gourmet Safari for TVNZ and the Guinness World Record for the longest live television interview (26hours) which is still held today, along with countless hours of live studio current affairs programmes. So, if your project requires production management skills or a freelance Producer then let us know.
I look forward to hearing from you,
